Men's Soccer Too Much for Centenary

Men's Soccer Too Much for Centenary

Men's Soccer pick up their second consecutive win with a 1-0 performance over Centenary College

The start of the first half was played nearly flawless by the Celts as they dominated time of possession and controlled the game thoroughly. Neither team had great looks on goal until the 28th minute when UST's Gabe Solako dished an assist to Ian Alverez who ripped it from 30 yards out. The ball floated perfectly over the keeper into the far corner and gave UST the only goal needed to take home the victory.

The Celts defensive line led by Tom Hultsch, held off Centenary's offense who started to threaten in the second half. Centenary had 3 shots on goal, but none looked lethal enough to get past UST's Rodrigo Lazo. As the clock dwindled down, the aggression started to pick up in the remaining minutes as both teams fought till the last minute.

Men' Soccer will return to action next Saturday when they travel to Trinity University.
