SEGUIN,TX- St. Thomas men's tennis team went toe-to-toe with Texas Lutheran in Seguin but ultimately came up just short in a 4-3 loss. The Celts now sit at 5-7 overall and 2-3 in SCAC conference play.
In doubles play, UST dropped only one match but couldn't take the doubles point overall.
Despite the early deficit, the Celts showed grit in singles. Raja Pandya delivered a solid 6-4, 6-2 win, while Sawyer White battled through to claim a 6-2, 7-5 victory. Wilson Salazar added a commanding performance with a 6-1, 6-2 finish.
While UST picked up three singles victories, TLU's edge in doubles and remaining singles matches proved enough to clinch the match.
