The University of St. Thomas men's tennis team opened its 2024-25 season in Belton, TX, competing in the Crusader Invitational at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. The Celts faced nine other Division III schools, and the event served as a preview for the ITA Regional Tournament in Abilene, TX, at Hardin-Simmons University.

The Celts made their presence known in the Singles and two of the six doubles flights. Hunter Kemball Cook started the season strong with a victory, defeating Cayven Yi of the University of Dallas (6-2,7-5). Kemball Cook comepeted in the quarterfinals, dropping his match against Brayden Money (6-1, 6-2) from Letourneau.
In Doubles action, the Duo of Kemball Cook and Sawyer White teamed to reach the quarterfinals in doubles. They worked together to win the first match against Letourneau but dropped the draw D match against McMurry to advance to the finals. The match was a close draw, resulting in 8-7. The Duo claimed third place against Texas Lutheran 8-6.
While Kemball Cook and Sawyer White were taking care of business, a Celts' team of Ruben Reyes and Tinh Nguyen were battling in Draw F. Reyes and Nguyen defeated a team from McMurry (8-3), before advancing to the quarterfinals, eventually losing against UDallas (8-4). However, the weekend ended on a high for Reyes-Nguyen. In a very tight match, they defeated another team from McMurry (8-7) to claim 3rd place.
