Men's Tennis fell to a strong out-of-conference opponent in University of Texas at Dallas, by a score of 8-1.
Opening up this contest in doubles was the pair of Juanrodrigo Lopez and Tyler Head. The Comets would halt any opportunities for Celt momentum, going up early and taking the opening match. Jace Ware and Jeremiah Hoover would follow, experiencing the same result as UTD would hold strong in doubles.
Singles would see similar results for the Celts. In line one, Juanrodrigo Lopez would go up early on his opponent, before falling in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-3. Tyler Head in line two would give the Comets everything they could handle, but UTD would respond by stealing the match. In line three, Jace Ware sparked a Celt comeback by claiming an early lead on his Comet opponent, and soon after would secure the victory in tiebreakers 6-4, 7-6 (2). Jeremiah Hoover and Jason Clark would follow, showcasing their skills, but UTD wouldn't break throughout the rest of the contest.
