Men's Tennis dropped their second match of the season to Mary Hardin Baylor 5-4. After keeping it close the whole day against the Crusaders, the Celts dropped their second consecutive match.
Line one of doubles featured Rodrigo Yoshikata and Jace Ware in a competitive match with the Crusaders. Unable to kickstart a long rally, the top line fell 8-4. It was a similar story for Tyler Head and Race Haas in line two as they also dropped their match 8-4. Finally, with the Celt's back against the wall, Zhanlue Kuang and Carson Steele showed clutch, defeating their opponent 8-6 to put St. Thomas on the board.
In singles, Rodrigo Yoshikata was able to win a close one to keep the Celts in contention. After dropping the opening set 6-0 and winning the following one 6-0, a decisive third set saw Yoshikata win 6-3. Tyler Head also won his match, dominating his opponent 6-2, 6-2 halting any Crusader momentum in his game. From there, Jace Ware showcased his skills on the court taking down his opponent in two sets 6-2, and 6-3. After that, St. Thomas struggled to keep pace with Mary Hardin Baylor as it came down to the wire with Hunter-Kimball Cook. Cook's match went all the way to set three before he fell 6-1, securing a 5-4 victory for the Crusaders.
