SEGUIN,TX- Women's Track and Field team made history at the SCAC Championships in Seguin, Texas, finishing 4th overall with 93 points — the highest placement and point total in program history.
The Lady Celts delivered standout performances throughout the final day.
In the 100 meters, Quadetra Wilburn sprinted to the SCAC title with a time of 12.00, the second-fastest time in conference history. Trinity Provost was just behind her, finishing 2nd at 12.01, the third-fastest mark in SCAC history. Kaela Sawyers added a personal best of 12.18 to finish 5th, while Ny'Cierra Hinton placed 6th in 12.32.
In the 400 meters, Christina Stinson secured a 2nd-place finish with a strong time of 58.92.
The Celts dominated the relays. Their 4x100 meter relay team smashed both the school and SCAC records with a winning time of 46.99, a performance that ranks them 14th nationally in Division III. The team consisted of Trinity Provost, Quadetra Wilburn, Kaela Sawyers, and Ny'Cierra Hinton.
To close the meet, the Lady Celts won the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:59.41, team consisted of Grace Pearson, Trinity Provost, Lexie Allred Rojas, and Selest Edwards.
In the 200 meters, Trinity Provost captured another SCAC title with a winning time of 24.88, marking the 4th-best performance in conference history.
Lexie Allred Rojas also contributed to the scoring with a 7th-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.90).
