
HOUSTON, TX- The University of St. Thomas track and field teams competed at the Robert Platt Invitational, their third indoor meet of the season, hosted by the University of Houston at Yeoman Fieldhouse. The Celts had several athletes setting personal bests and making their mark in the program's history.
In the women's 60m, Quaderta Wilburn clocked an impressive 8.02 seconds, securing the second-fastest time in program history—just two-hundredths of a second off the record. Teammate Kaela Sawyers also impressed with a personal best of 8.18, tying for fifth all-time in the event.
The men's 60m saw a similar performance from Ethan Ladipo, who ran a time of 7.06, placing second in the program's history, just two-hundredths of a second from the school record.
In the 400m, Trinity Provost set a new school record with a 59.31 finish. Christina Stinson followed with a personal best of 59.63, while Selest Edwards' time of 1:01.86 earned her third all-time in the program's history.
In the women's 5000m, Alejandra Ramon recorded a new personal best of 19:25.12, adding to the team's success.
