
SAN ANTONIO,TX- UST Women's track and field team delivered standout performances on the final day of the Tiger Invitational, setting school records and securing top finishes.
Jakayla Ray had a historic performance in the triple jump, finishing sixth with a mark of 10.75m, improving the school record by three feet. On the track, Quadetra Wilburn continued her dominance in the 100m, claiming first place with a time of 12.21. Kaela Sawyers and Nya Hinton followed close behind, finishing second (12.35) and fourth (12.42), respectively.
In the 400m, Trinity Provost delivered a record-breaking performance, winning the race in 56.43. Her time not only set a new school record but also established her as the SCAC leader and ranks her seventh in the nation. Lexie Allred Rojas also had a strong showing in the 400m hurdles, finishing fourth in 1:07.94, making her the third-fastest in program history and ranking third in the SCAC.
The 200m saw more improvement from the Celts, with Kaela Sawyers clocking a season-best 25.68, while Nya Hinton improved her time to 26.10. The women's 4x400m relay team capped off the meet with a 4:02.28 finish, showcasing the team's depth and strength.
