Women's Soccer fires on Offense to win 3-0 against Austin College

Women's Soccer picked up their third conference victory by besting Austin College 3-0. The Celts were firing on the offensive end all game, notching 20 shots in the match.

It was all Karson Funderburk early as she scored two goals in the span of 47 seconds. Her two goals would give St. Thomas the 2-0 advantage for the rest of the half. In the second half, Mariana Alvarez Garcia would provide an insurance goal for the Celts in the 75th minute to make the score 3-0. This lead would hold until the end of the match as the Celts picked up their first win since September 16th.

In goal for the Celts, freshman Sophia Escontrias picked up her second conference victory of the season. Escontrias and her defense allowed just five shots, with four saves. They also only allowed three corners to prevent the Roos from kickstarting any offense.

With this victory, St. Thomas improves to 3-4-1 in the conference. They look to get hot next Friday against Southwestern!
