After defeating McMurry last Thursday to win their first conference match of the 2024 SCAC Volleyball season, the Celts continued to ride the wave of momentum into Sunday's match against the University of Dallas and came out strong, sweeping all three sets to improve to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in SCAC competition.

St. Thomas jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the 1st Set and cruised to a 25-13 victory. It looked like it would be a quick match, but Coach Keanne Burt made a few substitutions to start the 2nd Set and it was the Crusaders came ready to play and took a 4-0 lead, before the Celts decided it was time to play again. Unfortunately, by then, UD believed and even the set 14-14 two-thirds of the way through the set. However, the Celts remained composed under pressure and ultimately claimed the set 25-20. Set three opened like the first, and UST brought the energy necessary to close the Match. At one point in the third, St. Thomas went on a run 9-1 and never looked back, closing out the sweep 25-11.

Junior Audrey Cataline led the way for the Celts with 10 kills, while teammate Alexis Bodunrin added 9 kills. On the defensive side of the net, Seniors Kara Spice and Kendall Howard anchored the team with 19 and 10 digs, respectively. Once again, junior Mia Medina assisted her teammates 12 times.
