St. Thomas Volleyball team faced a challenging match against Hardin-Simmons at the University Mary Hardin Baylor Invitational, resulting in the second season loss, bringing their overall record to 5-3. The set scores were 16-25, 30-32, and 21-25. 

In the first set, Hardin-Simmons jumped out to a quick lead and the Celts never really found their rhythm, resulting in a 15-25 finish. In the second and third sets, the Celts showed resilience and fought hard, but despite their best efforts, they couldn't rally for the win. 

Sophomore Alexis Bodunrin led the way with 8 kills and 5 digs, while Audrey Cataline contributed 6 kills and 11 digs. Jazilyn Davis added 6 kills to round out the offensive effort, while  Mia Medina led with 17 assists. Ally Peters led the defense with 14 digs, while Kara Spice chipped in with 10 digs. 

The Celts will aim to bounce back as they continue their play at the UMHB Invitational. They will compete again on Saturday, September 14th, at 9 AM and 2 PM against Hendrix and UMHB.
