
At the completion of their First Responders Tournament, UST Volleyball finished 4-0 and had four of its members named to the All-Tournament team. After an outstanding weekend for the Celts, Paige Havel was also named tournament MVP.
Paige Havel put together an impressive tournament with 51 total points. The senior posted 34 kills, 12 total blocks, and 9 service aces in four games. On top of being named tournament MVP, Havel was also named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Senior Trinity Atkins also picked up all-tournament honors. Atkins had an impressive weekend picking up 12 kills and 15 total points. Highlighted by an impressive nine-point performance against Simpson, Atkins was a crucial piece in St Thomas' 4-0 run.
Alyssa Ajlouny joins the Celts as another senior to make the All-Tournament team. In four games Alyssa showed versatility on offense and defense. Offensively, she posted 26 points and defensively added 10 blocks. In UST's reverse sweep against #25 Mary Hardin Baylor, Ajlouny had 11 kills and digs apiece.
Finally, Sophomore Defensive Specialist and Libero Ally Peters was named to the all-tournament team. Peters recorded an impressive 53 total digs (4.42 digs per set) on the weekend. She also helped anchor a Celt back row that currently leads the SCAC in opponents' hitting percentage
