
UST Volleyball completed the weekend sweep today after their three-set sweep over NCAA Division II Southern Arkansas; this win extends the Celts' win streak to five.
The Celts never broke a sweat as they cruised to three straight victories against the Muleriders. In the opening set, St. Thomas scored six of the last eight points to take set one and set the tone for the remainder of the match. The following two sets saw that the Celts jump out to large leads and in which they never looked back. They would continue to pressure Southern Arkansas, recording 24 kills, while hitting an average of .193 in the final two sets.
Laynee Beam would yet again reach double-digits kills with 10; while Kelsie Walker and Alaina Lanik would both dish out 11 assists. Chelsea Guerrero would have a game-high 14 digs and would also deliver two service aces.
