GULF SHORES,AL- St. Thomas women's tennis team capped off their Spring Break trip in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with a 5-2 victory over Wisconsin-Superior, finishing the week undefeated.
The Celts set the tone early in doubles play. Lucia Rodriguez and Ella Mullins secured a 6-3 win, while Aimee Tran and Nataly Velasco dominated their match 6-1 to give UST the doubles point.
In singles, Rodriguez battled for a 6-4, 6-4 victory, while Mullins continued her strong play with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win. Karissa Guzman controlled her match, winning 6-2, 6-1. Velasco fought through a three-set thriller, coming out on top 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 to seal the win for the Celts.
