Women's Tennis won a competitive match vs University of Mary Hardin Baylor 6-3 this past weekend.

Opening up doubles for the Celts was the dynamic duo of Alejandra Lopez and Anamaria Gonzalez. They would win the opening match with a commanding 8-2 victory. After dropping line two, Karissa Guzman and Regina Lopez would rebound for St. Thomas with an 8-4 win, putting the Celts up 2-1.

Singles continued the Celts success as they won their opening four matches. Anamaria Gonzales completed an outstanding day, taking her match 6-1 and 6-3. Alejandra Lopez would then edge her Crusader opponent in three sets, putting UMHB in a 4-1 hole. Furthermore, Alyssa Davila and Jenny Reynolds would secure the victory for St. Thomas. Davila would command a swift 6-1 and 6-3 victory. Whereas Reynolds would defeat her opponent in three sets, winning the final one 6-2.

Women's tennis resumes SCAC play against Schreiner on March 26th at Memorial Park Tennis Center.
