UST Tennis is back and gearing up for their start of their second season. They will take on NCAA Division II, St. Mary's University on Saturday, January 30th at 2:00. The Celts and Rattlers are set to face off at Giammalva Racquet Club in Spring, Texas.
Both the men's and women's teams will open up their 2021 campaign this weekend. Their inaugural season featured highlights from both programs before their season was cut short due to the cancellation of college athletics in leu of the pandemic. The Men's team finished the shortened season with a record above .500 and victories over conference and regional powerhouses. On the women's side, Anamaria Gonzalez secured player of the week honors after her performance against UMHB. The ladies ended the season on an upward trend after this compelling victory.
With nearly the entire roster returning from last year, the Celts look to use this experience in their favor against the Rattlers. "I'm super excited to start our season against St Mary's this Saturday at Giammalva Racquet Club" Head Coach, Jack Brasington said. "I know the teams are as well. We can't wait to be back out there."
