Freshman Charles Wallace has been selected as the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance at Friday's meet against Southwestern.
Wallace made a big impact for St. Thomas this weekend, winning all three of his individual events at Southwestern. He lowered his personal best in the 200 freestyle to 1:53.02. He also won the 50 fly and 100 back with times of 24.49 and 59.01, respectively, to complete his perfect individual performance.
"I was really impressed with the team energy from start to finish. Charles had a great day Friday," head coach Hanna Huston said. "His first backstroke swim of the season was pretty awesome. I also thought his 200 free looked strong. He is still figuring out some details, but overall, I'm impressed with how he got up and raced Friday."
