After competing in the SCAC Cross Country Championships at South Bossier Park, University of St. Thomas freshman Johnathon Castro earned All-Conference honors with an impressive 11th-place finish, clocking in at 26:17.35. His performance was instrumental in securing fourth place for the Celts, who finished with a team score of 115 points. Castro's strong showing in the championship meet is a testament to his season-long consistency, as he has placed in the top five for St. Thomas in every race.

This outstanding finish qualifies Castro to represent St. Thomas at the NCAA West Regional Cross Country Championships in Estacada, Oregon, where he will compete against some of the best runners in the region. His debut season has shown resilience, dedication, and an impressive capacity to perform under pressure.
