
Men's Cross Country opened up their 2021-22 season in College Station at the Texas A&M Invitational. The Celts finished in eighth while posting 159 points in a field of entirely Division I teams.
Leading the way for the Celts were Andres Padron and James Urbina. Both Celts finished in 17 minutes even, Padron doing so in his first ever collegiate meet. The duo would finish 36th and 37th out of 67 runners. Again, representing the freshman class was Jhancarlos Carpio and Jaxon Boyd who ran 17:22 and 17:34 times, respectively. Lucas Wolf would kick off his junior campaign posting a 17:42 time, while Riley Gould (18:56), Carlos Hinojosa (19:36) and Michael Skinner (19:49) would all represent UST for the first meet of the year.
The Celts will be back in action next Friday at the Nory Hersey Rice Invitational.
