On May 11th, the energy at NRG Stadium was palpable as the senior UST Student-Athletes prepared to embark on a new chapter in their lives. The stadium, typically home to the NFL team Houston Texans, served as the fitting backdrop for this momentous occasion for the University of St. Thomas Class of 2024 Commencement Ceremony.
Among the graduates, 47 Celt Student-Athletes were honored across all majors. Throughout their collegiate careers, these student-athletes have exemplified dedication and resilience in balancing academic pursuits with their commitment to sports. From early morning practices to late-night study sessions, they have shown unwavering determination in achieving their goals.
Prior to this occasion, they were also honored at the UST Athletics Senior Stole Ceremony where the student-athletes a stole to wear across the stage. As they don their caps and gowns let us take a moment to congratulate these remarkable individuals on their achievements. Their hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and they deserve to be celebrated for all that they have accomplished.
As they take the next step in their journey, we have no doubt that these UST Student-Athletes will continue to make us proud. Whether they pursue further education, enter the workforce, or continue their athletic pursuits, we know that they will do so with the same passion and determination that have brought them this far.
