
SAN ANTONIO, TX—The University of St. Thomas swim team made waves on the second day of the Tiger Invitational in San Antonio, competing against a competitive field. As the meet progressed, the Celt men stood in 6th place with a score of 77, while the women held 10th place with 19 points.

Ava Verret led the women's team with solid performances in both the 400-yard individual medley (IM) and the 100-yard breaststroke. She clocked 5:12.53 in the 400 IM, securing 11th place, and followed up with a 14th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:15.18.
On the men's side, Jackson Demoss delivered a strong swim in the 400 IM, finishing 13th with a time of 4:29.59. Oscar Mayorga continued his impressive form, posting a time of 1:46.85 in the 200-yard freestyle, earning 13th place.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Ben Tercero achieved 7th place with a swift 58.86, marking a significant contribution to the team score. Austin Brister also put in a solid effort, finishing 16th at 1:02.06.
