Celts fall 2-1 in overtime at Our Lady of the Lake

SAN ANTONIO – An overtime goal by host Our Lady of the Lake lifted the Saints to a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over visiting St. Thomas on Wednesday.

Guillermo Serrano's strike in the 96th minute gave the Saints the victory and dropped St. Thomas' season record to 1-1.

UST's Heiko Leinweber (SR/Cottbus, Germany) (pictured) gave the Celts the lead when he converted a penalty kick in the 62nd minute. It was Leinweber's first goal of the season.

Our Lady of the Lake tied the match in the 78th minute.

The Celts outshot OLLU 17-12 for the match and held a 17-10 advantage at the end of regulation.

UST returns to action Sunday when the Celts host Houston–Victoria. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and will follow the women's match between the two schools.
