Young Cores Looks to Drive Women's Golf at SCAC Championships

Women's golf tees off at the SCAC Championships this Monday and Tuesday. After two rounds at the Riverhill Country Club in Kerville, Texas, a SCAC Champion will be crowned.

This year women's golf has seen their young core drive results. Leading the charge has been Sophomore Emma Luna. On the heels of her second first place finish of the year, Luna has been named the SCAC Golfer of the Week in week seven after taking first at the Linda Lowrey Invitational. In her last two tournaments, Luna has only shot 75 and under to keep St. Thomas competitive at the top. Sophomore Trinity Le has also made a splash this year. Le was named SCAC Golfer of the Week in the fall, and has usen showcased her skills at the links leading the Celts in pars at multiple tournaments. Junior Juliana Hudman also earned a Golfer of the Week Honor this spring after finishing 12th at the highly touted Schreiner Spring Invitational. Hudman led all SCAC Golfers at that tournament and has consistently been a force for the Celts breaking 80 in almost every tournament.

First tee for the Celts is tomorrow at 7:39am. Follow along on golfstat.com as the conference title and a trip to the NCAA Nationals is on the line.
