This Saturday Night Lights did not favor our Lady Celts when they faced the Angelina College Roadrunners at Houston Sports Park. The game resulted in a 4-0 loss for the Celts. 

In the first half, the Lady Roadrunners fired shot after shot, testing both of Celts' goalkeepers. Early on the Celts changed goalkeepers due to an injury. Sophia Escontrias subbed in for Carmen Lozada in the 24th minute of the match. Lozada and her defense were able to hold off any further goals until the second half, where the Celts conceded 3.  

Although the scoreline displayed quite the deficit, the Celts did not give up. The girls fought hard, but were just unable to create those final chances. We saw a physical match from both sides, which made the game quite exciting and intense. But despite their hardfought efforts, the Celts were not able to put one in the back of the net. 

Next up, the Lady Celts will begin their regular season against Howard Payne - away. This is University of St. Thomas' first sanctioned Division III game
