HOUSTON-St. Thomas has named senior men's basketball standout Andrew Adebo as the 2025 Male Student-Athlete of the Year. Known for his intensity, consistency, and leadership, Adebo played a key role in one of the most successful eras in program history.
This season, Adebo helped lead the Celts to their third consecutive NCAA National Tournament appearance—highlighted by the program's first-ever postseason victory. A two-way threat on the court, Adebo was known for his relentless energy on both ends, often tasked with defending the opposing team's top scorer while also delivering offensively.
Over the course of his career, Adebo totaled 659 points and 480 rebounds, averaging 13.4 points per game. His impact extended beyond the stat sheet, playing a crucial role in securing three SCAC Tournament titles, three regular-season championships, and contributing to an outstanding 126-23 record during his time with the Celts.
A senior from Katy, Texas, Adebo leaves behind a legacy of grit, leadership, and winning culture—embodying the core values of UST Athletics both on and off the court.
