DaCota Kauffman is a Giddings, Texas native who started baseball at a young age.
He played at Giddings High School where he was a three-year varsity player and Team Captain. Then in college, he played collegiately at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and started at shortstop in just his freshman year. Finally, DaCota finished his career at Texas State University as a baseball student assistant from 2019 to 2021.
He was a volunteer assistant at UST from 2021-2023 where he instantly made an impact on the program through recruiting and upgrading the Outfield drastically. Now as a full-time assistant, DaCota looks to continue to lead this program in the right direction under Head Coach Torry Peterson.
