Women's Soccer dropped their competitive match against #9 Trinity Tigers 2-0. Throughout majority of the game the Celt defense held Trinity to just one goal against a plethora of shots.
From the opening kick off the Celts found themselves on defense, as the Tigers took 35 shots across the match. However, the only shot they converted early was in the 28th minute to make the score 1-0. Offensively, St Thomas struggled to get anything going as Trinity held the Celts to just 4 shots. The score was locked at 1-0 until the 89th minute where the Tigers scored one more to secure the 2-0 victory.
The goalkeepers for St Thomas Sadie Penney and Sophia Escontrias competed strong for the Celts, with 11 total saves in the match.
Up next, the Celts will look to bounce back on their weekend roadstand against Schreiner. Tune in Sunday at 1pm as they look to win another conference matchup.
