Women's Soccer Drops Match to No. 23 Southwestern

Women's Soccer dropped a hard-fought match with No.23 Southwestern after their second half comeback fell short.

Southwestern would get on the board early, scoring off a rebound in the 9th minute. St. Thomas would have their opportunities to even things up, but would fail to convert, which would leave the door open for the Pirates to extend their lead. With the half winding down, Southwestern would notch their second goal of the half.

As the second half ticked away, the Celts would take advantage of perfectly placed ball from Kayla Tomlinson. Brooke Le would net her second goal of the season to bring St. Thomas' deficit to just one.

Unfortunately, the rest of the Celts scoring threats would wither away, ending the game with a 2-1 decision.

The Celts drop to 1-4-2 in conference play as they approach the final week of the regular season.
