Women's Soccer Falls to Hardin-Simmons

Women's Soccer Falls to Hardin-Simmons

Women's Soccer dropped their first game of a two-game road trip Friday night after suffering a 5-1 loss to Hardin-Simmons.

The Cowgirls, who were picked as favorites in the American Southwest Conference, jumped out to a quick lead on the Celts after a 2nd minute goal. St. Thomas struggled to stop the bleeding which resulted in two more quick goals by Hardin Simmons. To open the second half, the Celts would waste no time in getting on the scoreboard. Just 51-seconds into play, Emily McCoy would net her first collegiate goal to chip away at the Cowgirl lead. However, Hardin-Simmons would answer the McCoy's quick score and run away with the match.

Women's Soccer will conclude their road trip Sunday, September 5th, at McMurry.
