UST Baseball won their series opener against UDallas in dramatic fashion as they plated two runs in the bottom of the ninth. The walk-off run was produced by a Crusader balk that brought home the winning run.
After a two-run Crusader bomb, the Celts found themselves down 3-0 early. John Sebok and Noah Martinez would chip away at this lead with their RBI base knocks in the bottom of the second. Sebok wouldn't stop there, as the very next inning, he knotted things up with another RBI single.
Both teams' offenses would click for the remainder of the game as nearly every inning saw a run scored. A four-run outburst by UDallas would grant them the 9-8 lead late in the game. In their final inning, a close play at home plate would lean the way of the Celts and allow them to even things up at nine. With the bases juiced and momentum belonging to UST, UDallas would balk a run home to end the contest.
Game two of the doubleheader was called early due to lack of sunlight and will be resumed in the ninth inning tomorrow at 12:00.
